Acera’s Annual Fund campaign is in full swing! The culture of giving at Acera is strong and the community is generous. Acera’s Annual Fund bridges the gap between tuition and the full cost of providing a high-quality education. We are thrilled to announce that two generous donors have pledged to match all donations made to Acera’s Annual Fund between Tuesday November 7, 2023 and Tuesday, November 14, 2023, up to a total of $20,000!
Each year, all members of our community (parents, faculty, staff, trustees, alumni, grandparents, and friends) are asked to donate to the Annual Fund which ensures our school has all the necessary resources (faculty, facilities, technology, and program support) to provide each student with an individualized Acera education. Also, many companies support their employees’ charitable giving by matching their donations. And yet, a 2021 story on CBS News says that as much as $7 billion goes unused each year (https://www.cbsnews.com/news/charitable-billions-of-dollars-go-unused-every-year/)
You can check to see if your employer has a matching gift program by contacting your HR department. HR can usually inform you on whether or not your employer has a matching gift program and what steps will need to be taken to apply for the matching gift. In most instances this is filling out an online request.
The request might require Acera’s tax ID number, which is 32-0303877. Once you have completed the form, your submittal will be sent to Acera to verify that the gift was received. Once verified by Acera, your employer will process their matching donation.
