Acera School enjoyed an amazing School Assembly on March 8, with thoughtful contributions from all classes! Ms. Jen’s LE class told the school about the impressive progress they’ve made on their classroom loft idea. Noticing a need for  more Cozy Cube spaces, students collaborated on a design, presented their idea to Acera founder and director Ms. Courtney, and have now recruited the help of a local architect to create building plans. These really are the leaders of the future!

Ms. Debbie and Ms. Sarah recognized the students who placed in a recent math contest and geography bee, and congratulated all students who participated. More math contests are coming up, and we encourage all students to give one a try!

Ms. Deborah’s class presented on their plans to create a string maze, an inventive addition to Acera’s adventure playground that can be enjoyed by all!

We finished with a celebration of International Women’s Day, when students stood up to honor and thank women who have influenced them, including mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, teachers, Rosa Parks, and Malala.

We’re so proud of these students!
