What is The Diversity Scholarship Fund?
The Diversity Scholarship Fund is a dedicated component of Acera’s Financial Aid program that expands the support available to families who qualify. It reflects Acera’s commitment to building a diverse school community and provides additional financial resources beyond standard aid.
Why does it exist?
The fund was created to help broaden access to an Acera education by increasing aid for families who need it. It was launched in June 2020 through a generous donation from an anonymous Acera family, catalyzing a long‑term effort to strengthen diversity within the school community.
How does eligibility work?
Eligibility and award amounts are determined through Acera’s financial aid process using the SSS tool, which calculates an Estimated Family Contribution (EFC). This data guides how scholarship funds are allocated, ensuring support is distributed equitably and based on demonstrated need.
