Stewardship Program

Stewardship Program (Ages 12+) — For Current Acera Students Only

Please note: Stewardship is available exclusively to students enrolled in Acera School’s Core Day program.

Welcome to Acera School’s Stewardship Program!
This leadership opportunity invites current Acera students ages 12+ to gain hands-on work and mentorship experience while supporting our youngest learners during Acera’s Afterschool Enrichment Classes.

This program is designed to give students a chance to gain work-adjacent experience while still having fun and enjoying being kids, all in an engaging, supportive, and age-appropriate setting. To make this possible while maintaining quality supervision, participation in the Stewardship Program is $15 per course/day, a fraction of the cost of our regular enrichment programs, with all stewardship spots remaining under $200 per trimester.

Stewards assist educators in classrooms and activity spaces, helping create a positive, safe, and engaging environment. Participants develop valuable leadership, communication, and teamwork skills—all while still having fun, enjoying time on the Outdoor Adventure Playground, and taking breaks as needed.

Program Details
  • Eligibility: Only current Acera students may participate.
  • Age Requirement: Students must be 12 or older.
  • Commitment: Students may sign up for 1–2 days per week per trimester, supporting a classroom with our youngest learners. (This schedule allows more students the opportunity to participate.)
  • Schedule: Runs alongside Acera’s Afterschool Enrichment Classes (3:30–5:30 PM) on a trimester basis.
  • Focus: Leadership development, responsibility, and mentorship experience in a fun, supportive environment.
Participation Expectations

As stewards, students take on a leadership role and are viewed as role models within our community. Participants are expected to engage in ways that are safe, respectful, responsible, and professional at all times.

Stewards are expected to:

  • Be positive examples for others.
  • Communicate respectfully with peers, our youngest learners, and staff.
  • Demonstrate maturity, reliability, and initiative.
  • Ask for help when needed and take breaks responsibly.

If a student is not demonstrating the professionalism or maturity expected for this role, they may be asked to step back from the program.
