Marisa joined Acera School in 2025 as the Enrichment Program Manager, bringing over a decade of experience in education, program development, and community engagement. Most recently, Marisa served as a Kindergarten Lead Teacher and Admissions Associate at Jewish Community Day School, where they successfully designed and implemented an interdisciplinary curriculum integrating SEL, literacy, science, and nature exploration, while also contributing to data-driven admissions strategies and fostering family engagement.A key strength of Marisa’s work has been their leadership in creating the Curriculum Enrichment Model framework inside JCDS, designed to engage families and the broader community in student learning. This model perfectly aligns with Acera’s vision for hands-on, student-centered education and builds partnerships that extend learning beyond the classroom. With extensive experience in managing strategic growth, leading educational initiatives, and executing diverse programs, Marisa has also contributed to DEI efforts, led participatory research projects, and developed grant-funded SEL and science programs. They are deeply passionate about expanding educational offerings, creating scalable systems for program growth, and empowering educators to design and lead innovative, project-based learning experiences.
