The goal of my project was to make a picture book about olives, designed for young children. As a prospective writer and olive lover, I decided to combine two of my interests with… interesting results. So many children's picture books attempt to impose positive traits on their readers. These books can be important, but it is equally valuable to read books without these “morals” and “lessons.” Books like these foster individual thought, creativity, and curiosity- and are way more fun to read!
