Summer Camps

"This is the most positive feedback I've had from either child about any camp they've attended. They were exhausted and full of news when they came home each day. We will absolutely repeat next year."

"Our daughter raved about her first time at Acera! She said Teacher Adam was so much fun. We look forward to coming back!"

"Our son had a wonderful time. He was so excited and interested in the programs. He was also very proud of the work he brought home at the end of the camp"

"She loved it! She’s a hard nut to crack and she truly enjoyed this camp! Thank you!"

"He was really excited to share each "gooey" substance each day and really enjoyed the adventure space"

"He loved it! He actually talked about the projects at home (which is huge because he doesn't often offer information about what he does at school). He was proud of his work."

About the Acera Summer STEAM Camp

Looking for a camp that nurtures your child’s natural curiosity and creativity? Look no further than Acera’s Summer STEAM Camp! Our program fosters critical thinking, creative problem solving, and integration of content areas across a diverse range of offerings that inspire all types of learners and thinkers. Our staff comprises professionals with extensive classroom experience and expertise in their respective fields, such as award-winning teachers, active research scientists, and working artists. We’re committed to providing high-quality and authentic instruction that engages students, both during the summer and throughout the school year.

What To Expect

Our STEAM Summer Camp is a one-of-a-kind program created to push students of all ages and learning styles to their limits. It’s an opportunity to solve complex and intriguing problems independently or in groups. Participants should be prepared to learn new techniques, as they explore the creative process of designing experimental protocols, unique works of art, or novel engineering solutions.

Who Is Eligible?

Our summer program is open to all children aged 5 to 14 years. There is no formal application process or testing required. Additionally, attending Acera’s Sept-June day school is not a prerequisite for enrollment.

Class prices vary, and include all materials and lab fees.

Waitlist

Register for all Acera programs online or in the office. Participants are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. If the class is FULL, you can be placed on a waitlist. If an opening becomes available, we will contact you.

Refund Policy

For class cancellations before June 1, we will provide a full refund. Alternatively, you may transfer enrollment to any other program at no charge. After June 1, only transfers are available, not refunds.

No refund or reduction in fees is possible for a child who arrives late, leaves early, or attends part of a session due to illness (other than a hospital stay).

Removal From Camp

Decisions about participation in STEAM camp are made at the discretion of the instructor and the Enrichment Programs Manager. If a student is not able to participate in a safe and productive way, or if the teacher feels that the student is not engaging at a level appropriate for the program, the instructor may ask that s/he switch into a different session, or not return to the program. Refunds will not be provided for students removed from the program due to behavioral issues.

Limited financial aid is available through Acera’s Reed Hollett Enrichment Scholarship Fund and awarded based on demonstrated need. Please email us at summercamp@aceraschool.org to request an application.

The deadline for scholarship applications is three weeks prior to your chosen camp’s start date.

Each summer, we build a team of summer CITs (ages 15-17), summer assistants (ages 18+), and lead teachers (21+). If interested, email a resume and cover letter to enrichment@aceraschool.org and address it to Ryan Cutter, Enrichment Program Manager. Thank you!
