Shannon is Acera’s Operations Manager, overseeing the systems and structures that keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. Prior to joining Acera, she managed school operations at the Academy of the Pacific Rim Charter Public School in Hyde Park, MA.
Shannon first developed her passion for operations and behind-the-scenes work while coordinating camp-wide programming as a Program Director and Waterfront Director at YMCA Camp Takodah. She also taught first and second grade in both Boston and Vietnam. That firsthand classroom experience informs her approach to operations. She aims to facilitate an environment that enables educators to focus on what is most important: the students and their learning.
Originally from New Hampshire, Shannon has called Boston home for the past five years. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, going to the beach, and traveling.
