Trent joined Acera in 2016 as the school's first Director of Development, bringing more than 25 years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit leadership, and youth development. Throughout his career, he has built philanthropic partnerships and advanced organizations committed to educational opportunity and community impact.
Before joining Acera, Trent served as Director of Strategic Advancement at Lowell Community Charter Public School, State Field Director for the Massachusetts Charter School Association, and Director of the Area IV Youth Center in Cambridge. Earlier in his career, he founded and led an Alabama-based youth service nonprofit for 11 years, engaging young people from diverse backgrounds in community service, leadership development, and social justice initiatives.
At Acera, Trent partners with families and community members to support the school's mission and future growth.
