New additions to the playground!

The playground continues to evolve! This past weekend, Kevin added five red maple trees to the playground area, which will ultimately increase opportunities for shade on sunny days and provide a natural border between play zones.
Also, in our new Magic Forest area near the 1 Lowell building, we have created an area specifically for our youngest students. Kevin, Jen and Lisa are actively designing this space and slowly introducing new aspects such as our new, three-seater swing.
All of the rain this summer helped our willow dome to thrive. In the coming weeks, we will be working on the willow dome, including weaving the growing willow boughs together and weeding the ground inside. As always, we welcome Acera students who would like to help us with this process.
Kevin seeks input daily from students on the ongoing design of the playground, and we are so proud of the enthusiasm and creativity they all bring to this initiative!
